A nightmare in space

The Shadow Planet was largely inspired by the movies we cherish and we tried to put together some gothic gimmicks, such as the fog, the mysterious ruins and so on, with modern exploitation, in form of eroticism, violence and gore. Howard Phillips Lovecraft was one of our main sources of inspiration, so the story resonates of his cosmic horror.
Synopsis: A space patrol of the Star Command receives an SOS from an uninhabited planet. Commander Jenna Scott, Lieutenant Nikke Larsson and Sergeant John Vargo find the remains of a previous scientific expedition, whose only survivor is a little girl in hibernation, guarded by a rusty robot. But someone else is prowling the icy planet and soon the killings begin... the only way to survive is to solve the unholy mystery of the shadow planet.
Me and my brother Johnny (Gianluca Pagliarani) came up with the story and I developed the full script for a 4 issue comic-book miniseries, for a total of 80 pages. As our project was funded through Radium at the beginning of summer 2016, Johnny started drawing and Junior (Alan D'Amico) coloring. The digital comic books were distributed to funders from September 2016 to March 2017. In summer 2017 the paperback volume was sent to funders.
